Substrate for orchids

By developing the substrate, we aim for high quality and durability.

Substrate for orchids you can use it directly because the bark is heat-treated.


What does this substrate for orchids contain:

  • Pine bark – 80%.

This material holds some water and is air-permeable. They decompose slowly and are poor in nutrients. Processed thermally (about 40 minutes) and dried.

  • Peat moss – 12%.

Peat moss is highly absorbent (7-10 times its own dry mass). Its low pH (3.5 – 4.5) makes it ideal for adding to substrates for orchids and insectivorous plants.

  • Charcoal – 8%

Absorb moisture, which is unnecessary and give it up when needed. They are characterized by a stable structure, good cleaning action – antiseptic.


We offer two fractions of substrate for orchids:

  • 2,5 cm fraction – suitable for orchids with a small cross-section of the roots (1-3 mm) – Oncidium, Dendrobium, Cambria, Miltonia and others.
  • 2.5 – 5 cm fraction – suitable for orchids with medium to large root section (3-6 mm) – Cattleya, Phalaenopsis, Vanda and others.
